Komyo ReikiDo Classes
Komyo ReikiDo is a traditional Japanese Reiki system founded by Hyakuten Inamoto Sensei, a Pure Land Buddhist Monk and international Reiki teacher from Kyoto, Japan.
The core philosophy of Komyo ReikiDo is "Keep It Simple" and emphasises that Reiki is not just a hands-on healing modality, but primarily a spiritual path for personal growth and enlightenment.
Key Principles and Characteristics
In essence, Komyo ReikiDo offers a clear, direct and spiritually focused path to learning and practicing Reiki - emphasising inner peace and personal development as the foundation for healing.
Simplicity: Komyo ReikiDo stresses keeping the practice straightforward and uncomplicated, believing that simplicity is key to truth and effective healing.
Spiritual Development (Dō): While hands-on healing is part of it, the main focus is on cultivating one's inner being, improving mind and body, and achieving "Anshin Ritsumei" (absolute inner peace or genuine happiness/enlightenment). Enhanced healing ability is seen as a natural outgrowth of this inner spiritual work.
Japanese Lineage: It maintains a direct lineage back to Mikao Usui Sensei (the founder of Reiki) through Chujiro Hayashi Sensei and Chiyoko Yamaguchi Sensei, ensuring the preservation of traditional Japanese practices.
No Add-ins: Komyo ReikiDo focuses purely on Reiki, avoiding the incorporation of techniques or philosophies from other cultures or "New Age" practices that are not part of its traditional Japanese roots.
Levels of Training
Komyo ReikiDo typically has four levels or "degrees".
